Closings For Thursday March 22nd
Arundel County Public Schools: Due to inclement weather, all Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late on Thursday, March 22. There will be no morning half-day pre-kindergarten or ECI classes, and no morning sessions at the Centers of Applied Technology North or South. Students in full-day pre-kindergarten classes will have class, and should report two hours later than normal.
Calvert County Public Schools: CCPS will be opening 2 hours late on Thursday, March 22. Code 1 for 12-month staff. CCPS will be re-evaluating conditions early on Thursday.
Charles County Public Schools: Charles County Public Schools will open two hours late Thursday, March 22, 2018. Code 2 for employees who follow the code system. No morning prekindergarten will be held. CCPS transportation staff will continue to monitor road and weather conditions. Any updates will be made by 5 a.m.
College Of Southern Maryland: All campuses opening at 10 am.
Prince George's County Public Schools: Thursday, March, 22, 2018 - Code Blue - Due to unsafe conditions on roads and walking routes, schools are closed. Central Offices will open with two hour delay. All 12-month personnel are expected to report. A Liberal Leave policy will be in effect for non-emergency personnel.
St. Marys County Public Schools: St. Mary's County Public Schools will open 2 hrs late (Code 5 for staff) on Thursday, Mar 22, 2018. AM Pre-K and AM Head Start will not have school. However, there will be classes for PM Pre-K and PM Head Start. visit http://smcps.org for more information
Westmoreland County Public Schools: Westmoreland County Public Schools will operate on a three-hour delay Thursday, March 22, 2018. Please be alert to possible updates early Thursday morning.
Government Offices and Agencies
Calvert County Government: offices and the circuit and district courts will open at 10:30 a.m. with liberal leave in effect. Employees must contact their supervisors to request liberal leave. UPDATE: The Appeal Landfill will open ON TIME and all Calvert County convenience centers will open ON TIME. Calvert County public libraries will open at 10:30 a.m.
County parks and community centers will open at 10:30 a.m. and the Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center will open at 10:30 a.m. Chesapeake Hills Golf Course will remain closed.
Transportation services will begin 10:30 a.m. Calvert County Health Department offices will open at 10:30 a.m. County senior centers will open at 10:30 a.m. Meals on Wheels will not be delivered.
Center For Life Enrichment: 2 Hour Delay
Charles County Government: will open at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 22 for all non-essential employees. Essential personnel and employees required to maintain operations during inclement weather are to report to work as scheduled.
Federal Government: Federal agencies in the Washington, DC area are OPEN under 2 hours DELAYED ARRIVAL and employees have the OPTION FOR UNSCHEDULED LEAVE OR UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK. Employees should plan to arrive for work no more than 2 hours later than they would be expected to arrive.
NAS Pax River: Webster and NRC Solomons operating under a 2-hour Delayed Arrival/Unscheduled Leave/Telework Status on March 22, 2018.
St. Mary’s County Government: All St. Mary’s County Administrative Offices will open at 10 a.m. Essential personnel should report at their normal time. The weekly Commissioners of St. Mary’s County business meeting, postponed from Tuesday, March 20, will begin at 11 a.m. in Leonardtown. Non-Public School transportation will operate on a two hour delay. All Recreation and Parks programs operating in the Public Schools will operate on a two hour delay. Recreation and Parks facilities will open at 10 a.m. STS Transit will operate on a normal schedule. The six (6) Convenience Centers and St, Andrews Landfill will open at 10 a.m. All three Senior Activity Centers (Garvey, Loffler and Northern) will open at 10 a.m. Meals will be served at the centers. Home deliveries of meals will resume. All St. Mary’s County Library locations (Charlotte Hall, Leonardtown & Lexington Park) will open at 10 a.m. St. Mary’s County Circuit Courthouse and District Courthouse will open at 10 a.m. with court sessions beginning at 10:30 a.m. All College of Southern Maryland campuses will open at 10 a.m.
